Intention And The Aftermath (A Poem)

I would never have guessed, that the person I was, would be the person I needed to be.
To be brave.
To be honest.
To know that there would be no other way.
Back then.
And, now that seems to be the case today.
Who was I, and was the crux of my old life ever sustainable?
I’m not sure I would want it to be.
I’m not sure it could be like that again.
Fully, anyhow.
Parts of the old me do come out.
More and more, I see my old self shining through.
The good parts anyhow.
I love the good parts.
So very much.
I love them!
