I Don’t Have To Deal With You (A Poem)

What was it that separated us?
One of us was this way and one of us was that way.
The one who conformed, knew what to expect and what was expected of them.
The one who pushed back, was unaware that he was pushing back, and was hated on because he was different.
And, he was always different/unique.
It took an act of God for the non-conformist to one day realize, that everyone who disliked him, was somehow jealous of how he behaved.
But, why?
He tried. He was heartfelt. And, he was polite.
Not everyone is able to deal with such a person!
He made a lot of people uneasy!
If being in the presence of someone like that challenges you, that person is not meant for you to peruse with.
Leave him alone and go on about your business.
If only people did just that, the world would be a much better place!
It would be full of people who tried, who were heartfelt, and who were polite.
